Each plant comes in its own 1 litre pot, ready to plant out into moist ground.

Astilbe pink is a moisture-loving bog plant that tolerates partial shade better than many flowering perennials, provided it's kept in consistently moist ground. It gives moist borders and bog gardens a reliable show of soft, arching pink flower plumes through the summer. This makes it a good option for parts of the garden where full-sun plants tend to struggle.

It suits bog gardens, the damp ground around pond edges, and beds in sun or partial shade where the soil holds moisture well. Each plant is supplied in its own 1 litre pot, ready to be removed from its container and planted straight into damp ground.

What sets it apart from many flowering perennials is how well it copes with partial shade, as long as moisture levels stay consistent. Its steady growth rate means it won't take over a bed, and a simple autumn tidy-up is all the upkeep it needs.

Specification

Detail

Colour

Pink

Height

60-80 cm

Flowers

Jun to Aug

Sun/Shade

Full sun to part shade

Growth rate

Medium

Care instructions

Trim back dead foliage in Autumn.

What's included

1 litre: one plant in a 1 litre pot; 1 litre, pack of 3: three plants each in a 1 litre pot.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0922/0610/4949/files/astilbe-pink-pond-marginal-plant-1-litre-pot.jpg?v=1791799951
