You receive one plant in a 1 litre pot, ready to plant out into moist ground.

Astilbe pink is a marginal plant that tolerates shade better than many flowering perennials, provided it's kept in consistently moist ground. It gives shaded borders and pond margins a reliable show of soft, arching pink flower plumes through the summer. This makes it a good option for parts of the garden where full-sun plants tend to struggle.

It suits bog gardens, pond edges, and shaded beds where the soil holds moisture well. You get a single plant supplied in a 1 litre pot, ready to be removed from its container and planted straight into damp ground.

What sets it apart from sun-loving marginals is how well it copes with limited light, as long as moisture levels stay consistent. Its steady growth rate means it won't take over a bed, and a simple autumn tidy-up is all the upkeep it needs.

Specification

Detail

Sun/Shade

Full sun to part shade

Flowers

Jun to Aug

Colour

Pink

Growth rate

Medium

Care instructions

Trim back dead foliage in Autumn.

Height

60-80 cm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0922/0610/4949/files/astilbe-pink-pond-marginal-plant-1-litre-pot.jpg?v=1791799951
