astilbe-red-moisture-loving-bog-plant-1-litre-pot
Astilbe Red Moisture-Loving Bog Plant (1 Litre Pot)

Astilbe red is a moisture-loving bog plant that brings colour to damp ground around the pond and to partly shaded spots where many sun-loving plants struggle. It gives bog gardens and moist borders bright red flower plumes through the summer, with foliage that stays attractive once the blooms fade. Supplied as a single plant or a pack of three, each in a 1 litre pot, ready to plant straight into moist ground.

Astilbe red grows in full sun or partial shade, provided the soil stays reliably moist; where the soil may dry out in summer, a partly shaded spot is best. It suits bog gardens, damp ground beside ponds and borders where the soil stays consistently moist. The plant helps add colour to damp corners of the garden through its bright red flower plumes, while its dark green foliage stays attractive once flowering ends.

What you get is one Astilbe red plant, or three with the pack of three, each supplied in a 1 litre pot, ready to plant straight into the ground. Take it out of the pot and plant into a hole deep enough to take the whole root ball, firming damp soil around it.

Specification

Detail

Colour

Red

Height

60-80 cm

Sun/Shade

Full sun to part shade

Growth rate

Medium

Flowers

June to August

Care instructions

Trim back dead foliage in autumn.

What's included

1 litre: one plant in a 1 litre pot; 1 litre, pack of 3: three plants each in a 1 litre pot.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0922/0610/4949/files/astilbe-red-marginal-pond-plant-1-litre-pot.jpg?v=1791800131
