elevate-epdm-bonding-adhesive
Elevate EPDM Bonding Adhesive

A solvent-based adhesive for bonding EPDM pond and lake liner to a substrate rather than to another sheet of liner, suited to edges, upstands and any point where the liner meets a structural surface such as a pond surround or retaining wall. It gives a secure, lasting fix at these junctions and is suitable for anyone finishing off an EPDM-lined pond, waterfall or lake feature. Once fully dried, it's safe around aquatic life, plants and people.

This is a solvent-based adhesive made for fixing EPDM pond or lake liner to a substrate, used specifically where the liner needs to be bonded to something other than another piece of liner. It grips hard, non-liner surfaces so a liner edge can be fixed firmly at that junction rather than left to overlap on itself.

It suits anyone finishing an EPDM-lined pond, waterfall or lake edge who needs a permanent join between the liner and a surround, retaining wall, timber edge or similar built feature. The bond helps keep the liner held in place at these junctions once it has cured.

You get the adhesive itself, in the pack size you choose, ready to apply straight from the container. If you're bonding liner to a vertical wall, you're likely to also want a termination bar for extra mechanical fixing; this isn't included and would need to be bought separately.

What sets it apart from a standard liner jointing product is that it's built to bond EPDM directly onto hard structural surfaces rather than to another sheet of liner, and it will bond material from either of the major EPDM liner brands, so it isn't tied to one liner manufacturer. Because both the liner and the substrate need to be fully coated for the adhesive to work properly, it's worth measuring the actual area you're bonding before choosing a size.

Specification

Detail

Brand

Elevate Bonding Adhesive BA-2012

Use With

All EPDM liners (Elevate & SealEco)

Size

1 litre, 2.5 litres, 5 litres and 10 litres

Other Sizes Available

No

Coverage

2.35-3m2 per litre

Aquatic, plant & human safe

Yes (once fully dried)

Solvents

Naphtha, cyclohexane, propylacetate, butanone

Technical Information Sheet

Bonding Adhesive

Uses

Bonding EPDM to wood, metal, approved insulations and masonry
