evolution-aqua-eazypod-pond-filter
Evolution Aqua EazyPod Pond Filter

This compact filter helps keep pond water clear by combining mechanical straining with a biological stage in one unit, so beneficial bacteria keep working even if you're only using it to catch debris. It's built for ponds up to 10,000 litres, whether stocked with ornamental fish or Koi, and has static K1 Micro media already fitted to support water quality from the start. Choose green or grey to match your garden, at the same price either way.

Overview

The Evolution Aqua EazyPod is a compact filter from the Nexus range that handles both mechanical straining and biological filtration in a single unit, using a static bed of K1 Micro media that keeps giving a biological benefit even if you're running the pod purely to strip out solid waste. It's rated for ponds up to 10,000 litres, covering both ornamental fish and Koi set-ups at the same maximum size.

Key benefits

Combines mechanical and biological filtration, so you're not running a separate bio-filter stage alongside it

Static K1 Micro media keeps supporting beneficial bacteria even when the pod is used purely as a mechanical strainer

Suitable for both ornamental fish and Koi ponds, up to the same maximum size either way

Compact footprint within the Nexus filter range

Can be plumbed in as pump-fed or gravity-fed, depending on your pipework

Available in green or grey, at the same price

Installation: pump-fed or gravity-fed

How you plumb the EazyPod in depends on where your pump sits in the system. In this configuration, your pump pushes pond water up to the filter, and the filtered water then makes its own way back to the pond by gravity, typically down a waterfall or through a large-diameter pipe. In the other configuration it works in reverse: your pump returns filtered water to the pond, the filter is supplied by gravity through a larger pipe, and the water level inside the pod sits level with the pond. This second option needs the EazyPod to be modified first; it isn't set up for this straight out of the box.

Choosing your colour

Green and grey EazyPods are the same filter at the same price.
