evolution-aqua-eazypod-uv-pond-filter
Evolution Aqua EazyPod UV Pond Filter

This filter helps clear green water and keep it that way, combining mechanical and biological filtration with a built-in UVC stage so you're not running a separate UV clarifier alongside your filter. It's built for larger garden ponds and comes with the recommended air pump kit, and the biological media keeps working even if you only use the unit for mechanical waste removal. Choose Grey or Granite Green, both at the same price.

Overview

The Evolution Aqua EazyPod UV is a compact mechanical and biological pond filter from the Nexus range, built with a UVC stage integrated into the inlet section so green water gets treated inside the same housing rather than through a separate inline UV unit. Unlike the standard EazyPod and EazyPodAir, this version pairs that UVC stage with biological media that keeps working even if you're only running the unit for mechanical waste removal. The result is one unit handling waste breakdown, biological filtration and UV clarification together, which helps keep pond water clear and healthier for the fish living in it.

Key benefits

Built-in UVC in the inlet stage treats the water for green algae without adding a separate UV clarifier to your pipework

Biological media keeps working even when the unit is run purely as a mechanical waste filter

Comes with the recommended air pump kit already included, so there's nothing extra to source before running it

Compact footprint as part of the Nexus filter range

Available in Grey or Granite Green to suit your garden

Sizing and flow

This is a single-size unit, so choosing correctly is really about checking it against your own pond rather than picking between models. It's built for ponds up to the capacity shown in the specifications table, covering both ornamental fish and koi setups, and there's a maximum feed rate figure worth checking against how much you actually feed. The filter's own water volume and maximum flow rate are also listed there, so you can match it against your existing pump and pipework before connecting it.

Choosing a colour

Grey and Granite Green are priced the same, so the decision comes down to how you want the unit to look against your pond surround and planting.

Specification

Detail

Max Pond Size (Ornamental Fish)

10,000 litres / 2,200 UK gallons / 2,640 US gallons

Max Pond Size (Koi)

10,000 litres / 2,200 UK gallons / 2,640 US gallons

Max Feed Rate

100 to 125g per day

Filter Water Volume

80 litres / 18 UK gallons / 21 US gallons

Max Flow Rate

10,000 lph / 2,200 UK gph / 2,640 US gph

Recommended Air Pump

Air Pump 70 Kit (supplied)

UV-C Bulb

18W PL-L, integrated in the inlet section

Filter Media

Static K1 Micro

Colour Options

Grey or Granite Green
