evolution-aqua-nexus-automatic-gravity-fed-system
Evolution Aqua Nexus Automatic Gravity Fed System

This automatic control kit reduces the hands-on work of running a Nexus filtration system by taking over the full cleaning cycle for you, valves, pump switching and all. You get to set the schedule that suits your own pond rather than sticking to a fixed routine, and once fitted it runs on its own without you needing to be there. It's available to match either the Nexus 220 or 320 system you already run.

Overview

The Nexus Automatic System is a control kit that automates the cleaning cycle on Evolution Aqua's Nexus filtration systems, replacing the manual valve-turning and pump-switching those systems normally need. Fitting it reduces the routine hands-on work of keeping a Nexus filter clean, since the whole cycle then runs itself on a timer you set.

Key benefits

Runs the entire Nexus cleaning process automatically, so valves and pump no longer need to be operated by hand

Timer-controlled and adjustable, so you can set the cleaning frequency to suit your own pond

Completes a full cycle and returns the system to filtration mode without you needing to supervise it

Fits as an add-on kit to an existing Nexus system rather than requiring a full replacement

Available for both Nexus 220 and Nexus 320 systems

Choosing your model

The kit comes in two versions, 220 and 320, matched to the equivalent Nexus systems, so pick whichever corresponds to the Nexus unit you already run. Both versions are priced the same, so the decision isn't about cost, and there's nothing beyond the model number itself to separate them here. If you're not sure which Nexus system you have, check your existing unit's documentation before ordering.

How the automated cycle works

Once installed, the control box takes over every step of the process on its own. It switches the circulating pump off, allows the water level in the Nexus to settle, closes the inlet valve while diverting air across to clean the filter media, then opens the waste valve to drain and flush the system before sealing it back up, restoring normal air flow and switching the pump on again. The full sequence is designed to run without you needing to be there for it.

Specification

Detail

Available models

220, 320

Control type

Fully automatic, timer-controlled cleaning cycle

Cleaning method

Gravity fed

Factory default cleaning interval

Every 3 days (adjustable)

Cleaning cycle duration

Approximately 10 minutes
