evolution-aqua-pure-filter-start-gel
Evolution Aqua Pure+ Filter Start Gel

A concentrated live bacteria gel designed to get new pond filters up and running, helping convert ammonia and nitrite so fish face less stress during the settling-in period. It sticks to the filter media on contact, giving the nitrifying bacteria a surface to colonise quickly rather than washing straight through. Choose between two sizes depending on the volume of your pond.

Overview This is a live, concentrated nitrifying bacteria gel made for seeding new pond filters, formulated to stick to the filter media instead of dispersing into the water the way a standard liquid treatment would. That contact helps the bacteria establish on the media quickly, which speeds up filter maturation and supports the breakdown of ammonia and nitrite, meaning fish face less stress while the system settles in.

What you get Each bottle contains the gel itself, ready to pour straight onto your filter media, with no mixing or measuring involved.

Key benefits Because the gel clings to the media rather than circulating through the water column, more of the bacteria stay in contact with the surfaces where biological filtration actually happens. You also can't add too much to the filter, so dosing is a case of pouring the bottle in rather than working out quantities.

Choosing your size The gel comes in two bottle sizes, scaled to different pond volumes (see the size guide for which one matches your pond). Check your pond's volume before ordering so the bottle you choose actually covers it.

Specification

Detail

Product type

Live nitrifying bacteria gel for pond filters

Volume options

1 litre, 2.5 litre

Pond coverage (1 litre)

Up to 10,000 litres

Pond coverage (2.5 litre)

Up to 25,000 litres
