It suits the midground of planted aquariums that already run CO2 injection, since the species needs added CO2 to grow properly. Keeping that supply steady helps the stems hold their colour and grow at a manageable, slow pace rather than stalling. Stems reach 15 to 40 cm tall and 5 to 12 cm wide as they mature, so it's worth planning midground spacing with that spread in mind. Slow growth also means less frequent trimming to keep the layout tidy. Each order is supplied as a pack of five pots, ready to go straight into the substrate rather than as loose, unrooted stems. This species used to be sold as Ludwigia perennis, so it may still appear under that older name elsewhere.

Specification

Detail

Origin

North America

Difficulty

Medium

Aquarium placement

Midground

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0922/0610/4949/files/ludwigia-glandulosa-potted-aquarium-plant.jpg?v=1792397923
