ludwigia-palustris-green
Ludwigia palustris 'Green'

Provides a dense, leafy background layer for planted aquariums that thickens the more it's trimmed. Suitable for aquascapers building up stem-plant groups, its cuttings root quickly once replanted, letting one pot multiply into a fuller group over time. You receive a pack of five pots, ready to plant directly into your substrate.

Ludwigia palustris 'Green' is a variation of Ludwigia palustris 'Super Red', sharing the same growth habit and care requirements as its parent plant. It helps aquascapers build a dense, leafy background layer in a planted tank, and suits anyone wanting a reliable stem plant that doesn't demand specialist care.

As the stalks grow, the plant readily produces side shoots, and trimming the growing tips increases this branching further, giving a fuller, bushier look over time. Stems removed during trimming develop roots quickly once replanted, so a single pot can be used to start additional groups elsewhere in the tank.

What sets it apart from its parent is colour: grown in the same group as a red-leaved Ludwigia such as 'Super Red', the darker red and lighter green foliage contrast against each other for a layered visual effect.

You receive a pack of five pots, delivered ready to separate the stalks and plant them into your substrate.

Specification

Detail

Origin

Cultivar

Difficulty

Easy

Aquarium placement

Background
