Grown in groups and positioned towards the back of the tank, it adds depth without demanding complicated care. Under strong lighting its colouring intensifies, giving an even bolder red display.

Ludwigia repens 'Rubin' is a stem plant from North America, grown for its deep red leaves and stalk, a contrast to the greens that dominate most planted tanks.

Massed together as a background planting, it helps add depth and a strong focal point of colour to the aquascape. Its low care needs suit most freshwater planted aquariums, regardless of experience.

What you get: a pack of five pots of Ludwigia repens 'Rubin', ready to plant directly into your substrate.

Prune the stems back regularly to keep growth bushy rather than leggy and bare at the base.
