mazus-reptans-alba-white-marginal-pond-plant
Mazus reptans 'alba' White Marginal Pond Plant

Mazus reptans 'alba' gives pond keepers a low-growing marginal plant that flowers white from spring into summer, needing little more than an occasional trim to keep it tidy. It suits sunny or lightly shaded spots around the pond edge and is supplied ready-potted or as young plants for your own basket, depending on the size you choose.

Mazus reptans 'alba' is the white-flowered form of Mazus reptans, grown as a low marginal plant for pond edges and shelves. It gives pond keepers white flowers through late spring and summer in a plant suited to sunny or partially shaded spots at the water's edge.

Growth is slow, so it holds its position without needing frequent cutting back, and the only ongoing care is trimming the foliage when you want to tidy it up.

You get one ready-potted plant in a 1 litre mesh aquatic basket, one in a 3 litre mesh aquatic basket, or three plants supplied as 9cm pots in a pack of three, depending on the size you choose. The 9cm pots will need potting into a mesh basket of your own before they go into the pond.

Because it stays low-growing, it works well as shallow ground cover at the pond margin rather than for deeper planting positions.

Specification

Detail

Sun/Shade

Full sun to part shade

Flowers

May to August

Colour

White

Growth rate

Slow

Care instructions

Low maintenance; trim foliage to tidy if required.

What's included

1 litre: one plant in a 1 litre mesh aquatic basket. 3 litre: one plant in a 3 litre mesh aquatic basket. 9cm pot (pack of 3): three plants, each in a 9cm pot.

Height

2-5 cm

Planting depth

0-5 cm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0922/0610/4949/files/mazus-reptans-alba-white-marginal-pond-plant.jpg?v=1791710136
