It suits planting at the front of small aquariums where a dense, low carpet is the look you're after.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt needs good light, CO2 injection, water circulation and regular fertilising to establish well, so it suits tanks already set up for demanding plants rather than a first low-tech aquarium. Small pearls of oxygen often form on the leaf surface during the day, which adds a lively look to an established carpet.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePlant small clumps a few centimetres apart directly into the substrate; given the right conditions, it spreads quickly and knits together into a full carpet.
