It suits new filters, spring restarts, and ponds that already carry a light fish stock, as well as filters recovering after cleaning or a water change.

BioKick Fresh is a dry bacterial culture for pond filtration, activated by mixing it with its own nutrient solution immediately before dosing rather than being supplied as a ready-mixed liquid. That freshly mixed concentrate gives the pond's biological filter a dense population of heterotrophic bacteria to work with from the moment it's added.

Once in the system, it helps break down ammonium, ammonia gas and nitrite, supporting water quality while the filter's own bacterial colony builds up.

It suits new pond filters, systems being restarted in spring, and filters coming back into service after cleaning or a water change. It's also suitable for ponds that already carry a light fish stock.

You receive one container of BioKick Fresh, ready to mix with its nutrient solution before use. It's designed to work alongside other pond treatments such as OptiPond and Safe&Care, which are sold separately.

What sets it apart is the dry-culture format: because the bacteria aren't activated until just before use, the dose you add goes in fresh rather than having already sat mixed as a liquid.

Specification

Detail

Container size

500 ml

Maximum pond volume

Up to 10 m³

Bacteria type

Heterotrophic bacterial strains, supplied as a dry culture

Microorganism count

More than 1 billion microorganisms (at time of filling)

Recommended companion products

OptiPond, Safe&Care
