oase-aquaactiv-biokick-pond-filter-starter-bacteria
Oase AquaActiv BioKick Pond Filter Starter Bacteria

A liquid starter culture that kick-starts the beneficial bacteria in a pond filter, rather than leaving the colony to build up slowly on its own. It suits anyone setting up a new filter or restarting one after winter, and it helps establish the biological balance a filter needs to work properly. You get the liquid culture itself, in a 200ml or 2 litre container depending on which size matches your pond.

Oase AquaActiv BioKick is a liquid filter-starter bacteria culture that helps a pond's biological filtration reach working strength within days, rather than taking several weeks to develop on its own.

It suits two situations: setting up a brand new pond filter, or restarting an existing one after a winter shutdown. In both cases the filter carries little or no established bacterial colony, and BioKick is formulated to seed that colony quickly so the system starts processing fish waste sooner.

Dosed at start-up, it supports the pond's biology as it settles into a working balance, and the supplier states the filter reaches peak performance within a few days of use, which matters most just after a spring restart when fish are already active.

BioKick comes in two container sizes, each matched to a different range of pond volumes, so you can match the dose to your own pond rather than over or under treating it. OptiPond and Safe&Care are listed as supplements that pair well with BioKick; these are separate products and aren't included with this purchase.

Specification

Detail

Format

Liquid filter starter bacteria

2L container

Suitable for ponds up to 100 m³

200ml container

Suitable for ponds up to 10 m³

Recommended companion products

OptiPond, Safe&Care
