A patented cleaning mechanism built into the lid, plus a quick-release catch, make routine servicing quicker, and the unit is rated for burial if you'd rather keep it out of sight. It's supplied with the hose connections needed to fit it, and comes in three sizes so you can match it to your pond.

Overview

The Oase Biopress is a pressurised pond filter and pump set that runs mechanical filtration, biological filtration and UV-C clarification through a single housing, which lets it push filtered water uphill to feed a stream or waterfall sitting above the pond, something a standard gravity-fed filter can't manage on its own. That combination helps keep the water clear without needing several separate units plumbed together. The lid carries Oase's own patented cleaning mechanism, so you can service the media inside without stripping the whole unit down, and a quick-release catch opens and closes the housing for anything more involved. It's built to be buried, so once it's plumbed in it can disappear into a border rather than sitting on view, and it's covered by the OASE Clear Water Guarantee.

Key benefits

Mechanical and biological filtration combined with UV-C clarification in one housing

Pressurised design that can feed a watercourse set above pond level

Patented lid mechanism for quicker routine cleaning

Quick-release opening for tool-free maintenance access

Rated for burial, so it can be hidden in a border or bed

Comes with the hose and connections needed to plumb it in

Offered in three sizes: 4000, 6000 and 10000

Choosing your size

This set comes in three sizes, priced from the 4000 up through the 6000 to the 10000. The pond-volume and power figures in the specification table relate to one documented configuration; separate figures for the 6000 and 10000 aren't itemised individually in our data, so it's best to treat the step up in size and price as a step up in capacity for a bigger or more heavily stocked pond, rather than picking on exact volume numbers alone. If your pond sits close to a size boundary, or you keep koi, going for the larger of the two options you're considering is the safer choice.

Specification

Detail

Power consumption

11W (filter), 25W (pump)

Maximum pond volume

4 m³

Maximum pond volume with fish

2 m³

Maximum pond volume with koi

1 m³

Plug included

No

Suitable for ponds up to max m3

4

Suitable for ponds with fish stock m3

2

Suitable for ponds with koi m3

1
