It helps lock away ammonium and other nitrogen compounds while starving green algae of the nutrients they rely on, and it suits ponds with or without fish, including koi.

PondLith is a natural zeolite-based filter media that traps ammonium in its porous structure while giving beneficial bacteria a surface to break down nitrogen compounds at the same time, rather than relying on adsorption alone. It helps keep ammonium under control and reduces the nutrient base that green algae rely on, which makes it useful support while a new or recently restarted filter beds in.

It works across the full range of stocking levels, from an unstocked pond through to a heavily stocked koi pond, with the dosage adjusted to match. Each bag is supplied with a filter media bag included, so it can go straight into the filter chamber without needing to source anything else to hold it.

Effectiveness lasts around 125 days, though this depends on the load placed on it: a pond carrying a heavier bioload will use up its capacity sooner than a lightly stocked one.

Specification

Detail

Volume

2.5 kg
