No. Both the 1 litre and 3 litre sizes can go straight into the pond in their mesh basket without repotting, though 1 litre plants that grow past around 60cm in height benefit from a larger basket or planting in gravel so they don't fall over in a breeze.

Acorus calamus is an upright marginal pond plant with iris-like green foliage, topped in early summer by a small, horn-shaped green bloom, and grown from a rhizome that spreads across the ground as the leaves rise up from it. It's one of the few pond marginals with a long history of use in fragrances and traditional remedies, dating back to Egyptian times. Suited to pond margins in full sun or part shade, it helps add vertical structure and ground cover around the water's edge while asking very little of you in return.
