A compact marginal pond plant suited to pond margins and bog gardens that stay reliably moist. It gives pond edges a flush of pale summer flowers while its slow growth keeps the clump tidy with little upkeep. Available as a single potted plant or as a pack of three young plants, ready to settle into your planting scheme.
Alisma parviflorum is a compact, rounder-leaved form of the native Alisma, grown as a marginal plant for pond edges and bog gardens where the ground or basket stays constantly moist. It gives the margin soft, pale flower colour through the summer months, when clusters of small pinkish-white flowers open above the foliage. Growth is slow, so an established plant holds its shape at the water's edge rather than spreading, which suits a settled planting scheme that doesn't need regular dividing. You get the plant in one of two ready-to-plant forms: a single plant supplied in a 1 litre mesh aquatic basket, or three young plants, each in its own 9cm pot, sold together as a pack of three. What sets this variety apart from the standard native Alisma is its more rounded leaf shape, giving it a tidier, more compact habit at the pond edge.
