What hose sizes will this fit?
What hose sizes will this fit?
It's a trim-to-fit stepped hosetail, so you cut away the steps smaller than your hose and use the step that matches it, rather than it coming pre-set to one size.
Will this fit my existing pipework?
Will this fit my existing pipework?
It fits directly inside 1.5" solvent weld connectors.
A black hosetail that fits directly inside 1.5" solvent weld pipework and trims down to match your hose, which reduces the number of different sizes you need to keep on the shelf. You'll need to add a hose clip separately to secure the hose, as it isn't supplied.
Overview
This black hosetail fitting fits directly inside 1.5" solvent weld connectors and is designed to be trimmed down so a single part covers several hose diameters. It's suited to pond and aquarium plumbing where flexible hose needs to connect onto rigid glued pipework. Trimming it to match your hose reduces the number of separate hosetails you need to keep on the shelf.
What you get: one black hosetail fitting, supplied individually. You'll need to add a double wire or flat hose clip separately to secure the hose to the fitting, since this isn't included.
Key benefits
- Works across multiple hose diameters, so you don't need a separate fitting for every size.
- Fits directly inside 1.5" solvent weld fittings for a straightforward connection into glued pipework.
- Cutting away only the steps smaller than your hose keeps the flow unrestricted at the join.
Choosing your size
Sized for 1.5" glued pipe connectors, this fitting lets you fit your hose onto the largest step it slides onto comfortably, then cut away only the steps smaller than that point, so the hose isn't forced onto a narrower section than it needs. Secure the hose onto the remaining step with a double wire or flat hose clip, sold separately.
