Cryptocoryne spiralis 'Red' is a narrow-leaved, upright-growing crypt with softly waved leaf margins and a reddish tone, capable of reaching well over 50cm in height in the aquarium. That height and colouring make it a planting choice for the rear of the tank, helping build a tall, reddish backdrop behind mid-ground and foreground plants.
The leaves are 1 to 1.5cm wide, with a softly waved edge and sometimes a faint green mid-stripe that shows up more or less depending on the conditions in your tank. The plant is native to India.
