How tall will Eleocharis acicularis grow?
Once established, it forms a carpet around 6 to 15 centimetres tall. You can trim it back with scissors if you want to keep it shorter.

Where in the tank should I plant it?
It's a foreground plant, so plant it towards the front of the tank in an open area that isn't shaded by taller plants nearby.

Is this a good choice if I'm new to aquascaping?
It's rated as Easy difficulty and is described as thriving in almost all aquarium conditions, which makes it a forgiving option for most setups.
What format does the plant arrive in?
What format does the plant arrive in?
It's supplied in the 1-2-Grow! format.
Eleocharis acicularis suits anyone building a dense green carpet along the front of the aquarium, where its fine, grass-like leaves spread naturally once planted. It helps fill open substrate with even ground cover, provided it isn't shaded by taller plants nearby.
Eleocharis acicularis is a fine-leaved carpeting plant that tolerates a wide range of aquarium setups, which is why it has become a very common choice for ground cover. It still grows best given an open area that isn't shaded by other plants.
Once planted, its roots spread into the surrounding substrate and gradually knit together into a continuous carpet, typically reaching 6 to 15 centimetres in height. You get a pack of three 1-2-Grow! cups, ready to be divided and planted across your foreground area.
What sets it apart is how little it asks for: it adapts to almost any aquarium condition, which many carpeting plants cannot manage. That makes it a reliable option whether you're setting up your first foreground carpet or adding to an established layout.
If the carpet grows past the height you'd like, simply trim it back to keep it at your preferred level.
