Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to glue or solvent weld this connector in place?
Do I need to glue or solvent weld this connector in place?
No. Tightening the jubilee clip at each end forms the seal, so no gluing is needed.
Can I connect two different pipe materials with one elbow?
Can I connect two different pipe materials with one elbow?
Yes. The rubber boot is designed to fit PVC, lead, copper or clay pipe, so you can join mismatched sections as long as the diameters match.
Can I remove the connector and reuse it if I change my pond's pipework?
Can I remove the connector and reuse it if I change my pond's pipework?
Yes. Because it isn't glued in place, you can loosen the jubilee clips and refit the connector elsewhere.
How do I know which size to order?
How do I know which size to order?
Measure the outside diameter of your pipe and choose the closest of the available sizes, 1.5" to 4".
This flexible elbow connector lets you join two pipe ends at an angle without gluing, using a jubilee clip at each end for a secure seal. It bridges different pipe materials, including PVC, lead, copper and clay, so mismatched sections of your pond pipework can still be linked together. Because nothing is bonded in place, you can undo the clips and reuse the connector if you rework your setup later, and it's available in several sizes to suit different pipe diameters.
Overview
The Evolution Aqua Eazy Connector Elbow is a flexible rubber boot fitting that allows you to join pipework at an angle without solvent welding or needing matching pipe on each end. It fits over PVC, lead, copper or clay pipe, so it helps you connect two sections of pond pipework even when they're different materials. A jubilee clip at each end tightens down for a seal, and because nothing is glued, you can loosen it, move it, or take it off entirely and use it again elsewhere.
Key benefits
- Joins pipe at an angle without gluing or solvent welding
- Works across pipe materials, PVC, lead, copper and clay, so it can connect mismatched sections
- Jubilee clips at each end give an adjustable, removable seal
- Can be taken off and refitted elsewhere if you change your pond's pipe layout
- Available in several sizes to suit different pipe diameters
Choosing your size
Measure the outside diameter of the pipe you're connecting before ordering, since several sizes are available to match different pipe diameters. The boot needs a snug fit under the jubilee clip to seal properly, and because it's designed to work across those same four materials, the same size fits any of them as long as the diameters match.
Fitting it
Slide the rubber boot over each pipe end and tighten the jubilee clip on each side until it sits snugly against the pipe; no glue or solvent weld is needed to make the seal. Because it's clipped rather than bonded, you can loosen the clips later and remove or reposition the connector if your pipe run changes.
