The Evolution Aqua Nexus+ helps your Koi pond settle into clear, stable water sooner, thanks to a new K+Media bio-media that speeds up how quickly the filter's biology establishes itself. Because it arrives auto ready, with the automatic cleaning fixings already fitted at the factory, you can add hands-off cleaning later without a retrofit. It comes in two sizes, the Nexus220+ and Nexus320+, so you can match the filter to your pond rather than over- or under-sizing it.

Overview

The Evolution Aqua Nexus+ is a Koi pond filtration system that builds on the established Nexus range, now fitted with a new bio-media, K+Media, that gives the biological filtration more surface area to colonise and helps the filter mature more quickly. That means cleaner, more stable water sooner after set-up, and less time spent testing and adjusting while the filter beds in. Each unit arrives auto ready, with the fixings for the Nexus Automatic Cleaning System already fitted at the factory, so adding it later doesn't mean retrofitting brackets or connections first. Two sizes cover a wide range of pond volumes, the Nexus220+ and Nexus320+.

Choosing the right size

Each model is built for different pond volumes and flow rates, so matching your pond to the right one keeps the filter working within its intended range.

• Nexus220+: ponds up to around 18,000 litres (4,000 UK gallons, 4,800 US gallons), maximum flow of 10,000 litres/hour (2,200 UK gallons/hr, 2,640 US gallons/hr), 510 litres of water held in the unit, 18 litres of K1 Micro in the Eazy chamber, and 50 litres of K+Media in the bio-chamber, expandable to a maximum of 150 litres
• Nexus320+: ponds up to around 34,000 litres (7,500 UK / 9,000 US gallons), maximum flow of 13,000 litres/hour (2,859 UK / 3,431 US gallons/hr), 840 litres of water held in the unit, 20 litres of K1 Micro in the Eazy chamber, and 100 litres of K+Media in the bio-chamber, expandable to a maximum of 300 litres

Both sets of figures are maximums, so if your pond sits close to a model's ceiling, the larger unit gives the filter more headroom to work within rather than running flat out.
