Frequently Asked Questions

Can I control the pump's output?

Yes. Output and energy consumption can both be adjusted at the push of a button.

Can the Varipump be used outside the pond?

Yes. It is suitable for use both in and out of a pond.

Are fittings included?

Hosetail fittings are included with the pump.

What is the difference between the 20000 and the 30000?

Both have 2" connections and a 5.5m maximum head. The 30000 gives a higher maximum flow (30,000 lph against 20,000 lph) and a higher maximum power draw (450W against 190W).

Do all three models have the same connection size?

No. The Varipump 10000 has 1½" inlet and outlet connections. The 20000 and 30000 both have 2" connections.

Adjust the pump's output and energy use at the push of a button, with a quiet motor that keeps running noise down. The Evolution Aqua Varipump gives large ponds and their filters the flow they need, in three sizes up to 30,000 litres per hour. You can use it in the pond or outside it, and the hosetail fittings are in the box.

Overview

The Evolution Aqua Varipump allows you to change how hard your pump works, with both output and energy use adjustable at the push of a button. The motor is quiet and reliable, and the range is built to handle large ponds, big filters and the more demanding set-ups. That gives you room to match the pump to the job, whichever of the three sizes you choose.

It can be used in the pond or outside it, and hosetail fittings are included.

Key benefits

  • Output and energy use can be adjusted at the push of a button
  • Quiet, reliable motor
  • Three models, from 10,000 to 30,000 litres per hour maximum flow
  • Suitable for use in or out of the pond
  • Hosetail fittings included

Choosing your size

The three models differ in flow, lift, power draw and connection size. All figures below are maximums.

  • Varipump 10000: 10,000 lph (2,200 gph, 2,642 US gph), 3.1m max head, 75W max, 1½" inlet and outlet
  • Varipump 20000: 20,000 lph (4,400 gph, 5,283 US gph), 5.5m max head, 190W max, 2" inlet and outlet
  • Varipump 30000: 30,000 lph (6,600 gph, 7,925 US gph), 5.5m max head, 450W max, 2" inlet and outlet

The 20000 and 30000 share the same 5.5m maximum head and 2" connections, so the choice between them comes down to how much flow you need and how much power you are prepared to draw at full output. The 10000 has a lower maximum head and smaller 1½" connections, so check your hose or pipework before ordering.

Using it in or out of the pond

The Varipump is suitable for use both in and out of a pond, which gives you flexibility over where it sits in your set-up. Hosetail fittings come with it.
