How big does it get?
Each stem is roughly 1-2 cm wide and can reach 10 cm or more in height, branching and spreading as it grows.
Gratiola viscidula suits aquascapers who want a textured, dense foreground planting without constant replanting. Regular trimming keeps it low and tight, almost like a carpet, while leaving it a little longer offers a fuller, mounded cushion shape instead. Its stems branch and spread readily, helping you build even coverage across the front of the tank over time.
Gratiola viscidula is still relatively new to the aquarium hobby. Its submersed growth has a spiky, almost bristled look that sets it apart from smoother-leaved foreground plants and makes it easy to recognise at a glance.
It's a manageable plant for hobbyists with some existing planted-tank experience, growing well under reasonably good lighting. Regular trimming keeps it low and tight, almost carpet-like, while letting it grow on a little longer produces a fuller, mounded cushion shape for the fore or mid-ground.
Each stem is roughly 1-2 cm wide and can reach 10 cm or more in height. The stems branch and spread readily as they grow, building a dense, full appearance rather than staying sparse.
You receive a pack of three cups of Gratiola viscidula in the 1-2-Grow! format, the only format currently offered for this product.
