Lysimachia nummularia Aurea is the same marginal plant as the standard Lysimachia nummularia, but selected for golden leaves instead of the rich green of the plain form. That colour difference is what sets it apart and is the main reason to choose it over the green species.
It gives pond edges and bog gardens low, bright ground cover without needing a different species for colour, and it copes with full sun or part shade, so placement is flexible. From June to August it produces yellow flowers, adding a second splash of colour on top of the golden foliage.
You get the plant itself: either a single plant supplied in a 1 litre mesh aquatic basket, or a pack of three plants each in their own 9cm pot, depending on which option you choose.
