Myriophyllum spicatum is a native, submerged oxygenating plant suited to ponds with still or slow-moving water. It helps keep pond water oxygenated as it grows below the surface, and settles in well when introduced in shallower areas before it reaches greater depths. Each pack gives you 5 bunches ready to establish straight away.
Myriophyllum spicatum is a native plant that grows entirely beneath the water's surface, with reddish foliage set in whorls of four along each stem. Growing fully submerged sets it apart from marginal or floating pond plants, and as a true oxygenator it helps keep pond water oxygenated once it's rooted and established. It suits ponds with still or slow-moving water and a position in full sun to part shade.
For the best start, introduce it into shallower water first and let it acclimatise before it reaches greater depths over time. It flowers in May and June with white blooms.
You can drop it straight into the pond as a weighted bunch, or plant it into soil, which the growing notes say suits it better over time. Each pack gives you 5 bunches of this plant, enough to establish a decent patch from the outset. If you plant it in soil rather than drop it in as a weighted bunch, you'll need your own planting medium or basket, as these aren't included in the pack.
