A hardy white water lily suited to full-sun ponds, bred as a freer-flowering alternative to the native Nymphaea alba. It keeps the pond surface decorated with blooms right through the warmer months. Supplied as a 3 litre potted plant that goes straight into the water without repotting.
Nymphaea Marliacea Albida is a hardy water lily bred as a freer-flowering alternative to Nymphaea alba, the UK's only native lily. It gives noticeably more blooms across the season than that native variety, and flowering is strongest with a full sun position on the pond.
Once established, the plant spreads out across the water, helping it cover more open surface as it matures. Its white flowers appear from early summer into early autumn, keeping colour on the pond through the warmer months.
You receive one 3 litre potted lily. It goes straight into the pond without repotting, though a larger basket later on will give the roots more room as the plant grows.
It needs calm water rather than a fountain-fed area, so check your pond's conditions suit that before planting out.
