Oase AquaActiv SediFree is a pond sludge remover that pairs live bacteria with an active oxygen granulate in a two-component (Duo-Tec) system, a combination that speeds up sludge breakdown compared with bacteria working alone. It suits pond keepers whose pond floor has built up soft organic sludge, or whose water stays cloudy for long periods. The treatment helps reduce that sludge accumulation and the turbidity it causes, keeping the water clearer as treatment takes effect. It's supplied as a granulate-based liquid treatment, available in 500ml and 5L container sizes, so the pack can be chosen to suit the pond being treated. Once added, the active oxygen granulate sinks down into the sludge layer and oxidises it; the bacteria then get to work breaking down what remains of the organic material.
