This submersible unit combines mechanical and biological filter media with UVC clarification, which helps keep pond water clear while a built-in pump runs a fountain jet or small watercourse from the same housing. Because everything sits underwater, the pond's surface stays uncluttered, and quick-release clips let you pull the filter sponges out for cleaning without removing the nozzle fitting. It comes in four sizes to suit anything from a decorative tub or barrel to a larger, fish-stocked pond.
Overview
The Oase Filtral UVC is a fully submersible pond filter that combines mechanical filtration, biological filtration, UVC clarification and a built-in fountain pump in one underwater unit, so you're not running separate equipment for filtering, clarifying and pumping. That all-in-one design helps keep pond water clear and healthy while giving you a working fountain spout or small watercourse from the same housing. Because the whole thing sits below the surface, your pond keeps its natural appearance with no equipment showing above the waterline.
Four filter materials, two grades of sponge for mechanical filtration, plus bio-surface elements and ceramic media for biological filtration, work through the housing to trap debris and support the bacteria that break down waste. The UVC stage then acts on the water as it passes through, and a viewing window lets you check it's lit without lifting the unit out.
Key benefits
- Mechanical and biological filtering, UVC clarification and a fountain pump in one submersible unit
- Adjustable T-piece for running a spout or small watercourse, with flow rate and fountain height set individually
- Clip-fastened housing opens quickly, and the nozzle fitting stays in place while you clean the filter media
- Visual check window for the UVC clarifier
- Included OASE Clear Water Guarantee
Choosing your model
Four models make up the range, running from the 1500 up to the 9000, with price increasing as you move up the sizes. All four models share the same filtration, UVC and pump design described above. The performance figures in the specifications table (power consumption, UVC output, pump capacity and pond suitability) are only confirmed in the data available to us for the 9000, since its stated maximum pond size of 9.0 m3 lines up with that model number; equivalent figures for the 1500, 3000 and 6000 aren't given, so check with us first if exact numbers for a smaller size matter to your setup.
The models also differ in what's included. The 1500 comes with a fountain nozzle set only, while the 3000, 6000 and 9000 each come with a fountain nozzle set and an aeration set.
Setting it up and keeping it clean
Since the whole unit sits underwater, position it where the T-piece nozzle can feed your fountain spout or watercourse, then adjust the flow rate and fountain height to suit. The viewing window lets you confirm the UVC clarifier is lit without disturbing the set-up. For cleaning, release the housing clips to reach the sponges, bio-surface elements and ceramic media: the nozzle fixture doesn't need to come off, so you can clean the filter without dismantling the fountain feed.
