Fitted between your pump and filter, this clarifier breaks down the cell structure of floating algae and reduces bacteria and pathogens in the water passing through it, so persistent green water and spring algae blooms clear up instead of lingering. A viewing window lets you check the UVC lamp is lit, and the quick-release housing makes bulb changes and quartz glass cleaning straightforward. It comes with the UVC bulb included and is available in five power ratings to suit ponds from small garden features up to larger koi ponds.

The Oase Vitronic is a UVC clarifier that sits in the pipework between your pond pump and filter, using UVC light to break down the cell structure of floating algae so it stops multiplying rather than simply being trapped and washed back into the water. This also reduces the bacteria and pathogen load passing through your system, which helps pond keepers get on top of recurring green water and spring algae blooms, including koi keepers who want clearer water for spotting their fish and checking on their condition.

It's designed to work alongside your existing filter rather than replace it: it's compatible with almost all commercially available filters, and the 18, 24 and 36 W models can be fitted directly onto an Oase BioSmart filter if that's what you're running.

Each unit comes with the UVC bulb already fitted, so you're not left sourcing one separately before you can run it. Choosing your size

The range runs from 11 W up to 55 W, so the right choice depends on your pond's volume and whether you keep fish, with the largest model's published coverage set out in the specifications above. Equivalent flow and pond-size figures for the smaller 11, 18, 24 and 36 W models aren't published, so if your pond sits near a size boundary, sizing up is the safer option. If you already run a BioSmart filter, the 18, 24 and 36 W models fit directly onto it without extra hosing; the 11 W and 55 W use standard hose connections instead.
