What types of aquariums and tanks do you offer?

We offer a wide range of aquariums and tanks suitable for freshwater, tropical, marine, and coldwater setups. Our selection includes nano aquariums, large display tanks, Betta tanks, and specialised systems designed for long-term performance in UK homes.

Are your aquariums suitable for both beginners and experienced fishkeepers?

Yes, our catalogue includes setups ideal for beginners—easy to install and maintain—as well as advanced systems designed for experienced aquarists. Each product page includes detailed specifications to help you choose the right option.

How do I choose the right tank size for my fish?

Larger tanks are generally more stable and easier to maintain. When choosing a tank, consider the adult size of your fish, their swimming behaviour, compatibility, space availability, and access to electricity. When in doubt, choosing a larger tank is usually recommended.

What equipment do I need to set up a new aquarium?

Most aquariums require a tank and stand, a suitable filter, a heater for tropical setups, appropriate lighting, substrate, decor, water conditioner, and a water testing kit. Many aquariums come pre-packaged with the essential components included.

Do you offer finance or payment plans for larger purchases?

Yes, finance options are available through trusted partners such as Novuna, including 0% APR options on eligible orders. Finance availability is shown on applicable product pages.

Where do you deliver and is there free shipping?

We deliver to most locations across the UK. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and free delivery is available on qualifying orders above a certain value.

Can I return a product if it’s not suitable or arrives damaged?

If your product arrives damaged or is not suitable, please contact us with your order number and photos so our team can arrange a repair, replacement, or refund according to our return policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this plant need any particular water temperature?

The source notes it does not do well in high temperatures, so it's best kept out of a warmer tank rather than a cooler, more typical community setup.

How do I stop it getting tall and sparse?

Pinch off shoots once they reach the surface and replant the cuttings in the substrate. Growing several stems together also helps it look fuller rather than leggy.

Will the white veining stay vivid over time?

Colour intensity depends on lighting: the leaf colouring develops best under good light conditions.

What exactly do I receive when I order this?

A pack of five pots of Shinnersia rivularis 'Weiss-Grün', ready to plant into your substrate.

This potted stem plant gives midground planting a lighter, variegated look thanks to white veining running through its leaves, a colour mutation that sets it apart from the plain green form. It's a quick grower, suited to anyone happy to trim and replant cuttings to keep it tidy.

Shinnersia rivularis 'Weiss-Grün' is a stem plant with distinctive white veining through its leaves, the result of a colour mutation that arose during cultivation rather than in the wild. Unlike the plain green form, it brings extra contrast to a planted tank's midground.

It suits aquarists setting up midground planting who want a fast grower that fills space quickly. Several stems planted together give a fuller look that offsets the plant's natural tendency to become leggy with age.

Good lighting draws out the colouring, and the plant takes well to pruning. Pinch off shoots once they reach the surface and push the cuttings back into the substrate to keep growth compact. Rated medium difficulty, it helps to have some prior planting experience, and the plant does not do well in high water temperatures.

What you get: a pack of five pots of Shinnersia rivularis 'Weiss-Grün', ready to go into your substrate.
